Training and support of unaccompanied minors (Kakuma refugee camp)

Servant Forge has partnered with Waldorf Kakuma project in the past to provide support for and improve the lives of more than 10,000 unaccompanied minors in the Kakuma Refugee Camp. Waldorf operates child-friendly spaces (CFSs) where it provides non-traditional educational and development opportunities for vulnerable refugee children in the Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Through our partnership with the Church of Nazarene in Lodwar, Servant Forge has also been able to facilitate Trauma Healing Programs for the teachers caring for the minors within the camp. Recognizing them as healing healers, the need to carefully and empathetically address their trauma wounds is necessary to enable them to effectively serve the minors in the camp with compassion and understanding.
